- The internal image decoder seems quite a bit slower to me. On the other
- hand, its progressive rendering lets you get a quick idea of what coming up
- onto the screen although the benefits of this are greatly curtailed by the
- warning that aborting a progressive render in process can lead to crashes
- (once I just pulled the up/down scroller gadget while the IBrowse homepage
- image was being rendered and it totally flipped out. The graphics escaped the
- main rendering area and scrambled oddly outside of the IBrowse rendering
- area).
